Filipino actor Xian Lim said he did not initiate the breakup with his ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu.

During his appearance in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda,” Xian admitted that he did not initiate the breakup despite what haters say.

“To be completely honest I wasn’t the one engaged in the separation, ‘yun lang po siya, it’s that simple,” he said.

When asked if he did not initiate the break-up, Lim clarified upfront: “Yeah, I wasn’t the one who initiated the breakup.”

During the interview, Xian also clarified that ‘his record was clean.’

“Yung pambabatikos sa akin ng karamihan, I think they should look at it from us. For more than a decade, I never had any… My record is clean, and I am proud of that,” Xian said.

“You’re not gonna see me in places you’re not supposed to see me, so yun lang siya. The time speaks for itself,” he added.

He also said he understood why their fans were angry, but it was also painful for the ex-couple. “I understand why the supporters are angry, I understand why they feel betrayed. Pero masakit rin ‘yun para sa amin,” he said.

Xian also said he was saddened by the allegations that he was using Kim to boost the popularity of his new movie.

“It’s just sad na maraming intrigang lumalabas especially against me and I don’t wanna make it seems like na o bakit ‘yan si Xian ang ingay-ingay ngayon, kung ano ano ang pinagsasabi because may promo ng pelikula,” Xian said.

“It’s just a very delicate thing, and I do understand why people are upset, but we are okay,” he added.

Xian said that he is still friends with Kim even after the end of their 12-year relationship, which ended in December 2023.
