Sunshine Cruz, an actress known for her radiant beauty and strength, could not hold back her emotions when talking about the hurt she suffered in the past. In an emotional interview, she shared about the betrayal she experienced from her ex-husband, actor Cesar Montano.

Sunshine and Cesar were once one of the most powerful couples in the Philippine entertainment industry. They got married in 2000, building a family with three lovely daughters. However, behind that happy image were cracks that could not be repaired.

After enduring the pain, Sunshine decided to end her 13-year marriage to Cesar Montano in 2013. The decision was not easy, but she knew it was necessary to protect herself and her children.

“I couldn’t live a lie forever. I had to be strong, not only for myself but also for my three daughters,” Sunshine affirmed.

MANYILA — Actor Cesar Montano is back in the movies again with the international producers of Inspire studios, for the movie “Freedom Fighters.”

The actor said that he will now start more meaningful projects along with his return to faith.

“To do meaningful films that He wants me to do. All of the films that are lined up that He wants me to do. He gave me the talent to do films and I will focus on making more films,” the actor replied in an interview on Thursday.

According to Cesar, his mind is now more at peace after returning to the Lord. “I feel relaxed, I feel happy from what I am doing,” he said.

Cesar also shared what motivated him to strengthen his faith.

“One day, God talked to me. He said ‘I gave you great talent to do films, why are you doing what you’re doing?’ …So I decided to do this,” the actor said.

“I said, ‘Okay Lord, decide, I’ll do this.’ When I decided, I can’t say right now how many films I’ll do but it’s there, lined up.”

Along with his stronger faith, one of the questions the actor was asked was if he had forgiven those who had wronged him.

“I also asked for forgiveness from the Lord. You have to forgive those people who hurt you, who owe you a lot that you hurt. Emotionally, because you’re the only one who will bear that burden,” Cesar replied. “‘If you don’t forgive, you’re the only one who will bear that burden, you’re the one who will suffer. You should throw away hate, give it to the Lord.”

Cesar also admitted that this process was not easy for him.

“It’s not easy to forgive. It’s so hard and you have to pray for it. But God said, ‘Ask anything in My name and I will give it to you,” he explained.

The actor also understands if the people he has wronged have not forgiven him, including his ex-wife Sunshine Cruz.

According to the actor, he also tried to apologize to Sunshine.

“We can’t say that (if she has forgiven me), only the person. If she feels that she has received it, if she has forgiven, no one can say that if she hasn’t.”

According to the actor, he wants to end the year with peace in his mind.

“At least you said that and, of course, before the year ends, we should do all that, to ask forgiveness from all the people we have wronged,” he said.

The actor also explained why he chose to remain silent despite his ex-wife’s statements.

“It’s not just me who is involved; there are children involved (here). And if I prolong that, the children are poor. I have to think about the children also. It’s easy to talk (but) I have to think of our children,” he said.

And now that Christmas is coming, Cesar has only one wish.

“Peace of mind. The best thing anyone can wish for is peace of mind. Because you cannot enjoy anything without peace of mind. No matter how successful you are if you don’t have peace of mind, that’s nothing,” he said.

It is expected that as 2020 enters, Cesar will be busy making his films.
