Frenchie Dy Shares Insight into Her Bell’s Palsy Struggle and Offers Uplifting Health Update

FRENCHIE DY – Singer Frenchie Dy courageously opens up about her ongoing battle with Bell’s Palsy and shares an uplifting update on her health and recovery.

Renowned singer Frenchie Dy recently updated her followers on social media about her health after being diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy for the third time. Known for her strong voice and positive attitude, she shared a video on February 5, documenting her first day of therapy as she begins her recovery journey.

Frenchie explained that she is undergoing electrotherapy to stimulate the muscles on her face. Despite the difficulty, she kept her mood upbeat, even joking that the treatment felt like an Ultherapy session. After the electrotherapy, she had a facial massage and infrared radiation therapy to boost circulation and aid healing.

Frenchie Dy mentioned that she needs to attend therapy three times a week to support her recovery. She expressed her gratitude to her fans for their encouragement, saying, “I’m very patient and I’m claiming na magiging okay ‘to agad agad. Maraming maraming salamt sa encouraging words ninyong lahat. You motivate me, guys. Thank you so much.”

In addition to her therapy, Frenchie demonstrated how she performs facial massages on herself three times a day. She also revealed plans for additional tests, including MRI and EMG scans, to investigate the root cause of her recurring Bell’s Palsy.

“I’m praying na hindi serious, na walang kahit na ano, as in Bell’s Palsy lang at makaka-recover ako,” she said.

Bell’s Palsy, as explained by the Mayo Clinic, causes sudden weakness or paralysis on one side of the face, and while its cause is unknown, most people recover within a few weeks to six months. However, it’s rare for someone to experience it multiple times, making Frenchie’s situation unusual.

Despite these obstacles, Frenchie remains hopeful and determined to overcome the condition, inspiring her fans with her strength and optimism as they await her return to the stage.
