Kris Aquino revealed she had broken up with her Philippine-based boyfriend who is a doctor. It was just last year that she revealed being in a relationship with him.

In an Instagram post on March 16, 2025 the Queen of All Media shared what happened with her relationship. Kris believes she was never loved.

In her post, she wrote, “During this time of uncertainty, I choose to share MY PAINFUL TRUTH, the doctor I loved left me because he wanted the freedom to travel, to break free from needing to care for & the reality of KRIS AQUINO who had multiplying autoimmune diseases w/ so few treatment options. Enough time has passed: he didn’t love me. In my defense he did receive the correct professional fees- even when we were a couple. End of that chapter (I was never afraid to admit the truth)

The TRUTH, in his words ”I LEFT YOU BECAUSE IT IS HARD TO LOVE, it is so crowded”- my prayer is that he will now STOP trash talking & cursing my best friends and doctors who are still doing all they can to improve my quality of life, proving everyday genuine love, compassion & loyalty. In the same post, Kris also gave an update about her health and her family. The 54-year-old host and actress admits she is still experiencing excruciating pain.

“Last night my rheumatologist tried ultrasound assisted targeted steroid shots on my knees…. My body reacted the same way I did when we tried the steroid challenge 34 months ago. Bimb is now doing MMA training and I weigh less than 80 lbs, only 36 kilos. I cannot walk, every step is agony. The excruciating pain is from my knees all the way to my feet, a combination of deep bone pain (lupus arthritis, Polymyositis, and acute fibromyalgia),” she added.

Kris also shared that she gets strength from her children, sharing a photo of her younger son Bimby lovingly carrying her to the bedroom at night.

She wrote, “I decided to post my current reality because I want to give HOPE. When you are unconditionally loved, when like me you are blessed with a son who will do all to ease his mama’s physical & emotional suffering – YOU WILL NEVER GIVE UP. I endure the intense pain that is part of my every day because the love of a child is unmatched.

Life is difficult for all of us- but faith in God and REAL love proven by ACTION gives ALL the needed willpower to persevere. Thank you God, thank you TO ALL for your continued prayers for my healing, and to MY “northern star” – Bimb for being much more than your mama deserves. I love you ATE. Thank you sister @celdasan for taking care of brother now. TULOYANGLABAN 💛”Since she first revealed having an autoimmune disease in 2018, Kris has been battling multiple autoimmune diseases. She flew to the US in 2022 to receive various treatments and returned to the Philippines earlier this year.

Kris made her first public appearance last month after flying back to the country with her family. She attended the People Asia’s People of the Year 2025 event to show support for her friend and fashion designer Michael Leyva, who was one of the awardees.
