Kapuso couple Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo opened up about the real reason of their split many years ago.

Last 2010, Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo became a couple, however, their relationship lasted for only 11 months. It was a highly publicized split as it has been reported that there was “pisikalan” involved in their split.

In 2014, they rocked the entertainment industry when they got back together but since then, they are happier and it led them to being a married couple now. In November 2021, the wedding of Jennylyn and Dennis happened.

During their guesting in the recent vlog of Karen Davila, the celebrity couple opened up about their past, specifically, about their split.

According to them, the main reason why they separated years ago was not because of the “pisikalan” but because of jealousy. Their relationship back then was too intense that ended up being complicated resulting in their separation. They were also both immature at that time but when they had their second shot, they already know better.

“Yung mga problema namin noon na naging cause ng paghihiwalay namin noon, hindi na talaga namin inulit don sa 10 years na magkasama kami ulit. Hindi na siya naulit,” said the actress.

As for Dennis, he’s not the same jealous man as he was before. He is now able to handle it better and they have learned already to fully trust each other. They learned that nothing good comes out if they would hastily and intensely react fed by negative emotions.

The better thing to do is communicate clearly and calmly to each other.

“So, naniniwala ako na talagang kailangan pag-usapan niyo, upuan niyo, bigyan niyo ng oras yung mga bagay na hindi pagkakasunduan para malinaw.”
