Kapuso drama king Dennis Trillo met Its Showtime hosts during the GMA Gala 2024 after the “May ABS pa ba?” issue and this happened.

Dennis went through a controversy last month because of his unexpected comment to a netizen who asked about his wife Jennylyn Mercado’s rumored transfer to ABS-CBN. His TikTok page commented, “May ABS pa ba?” which did not sit well with Kapamilya fans.

His manager stressed in a statement that his account was hacked and that he will never intend to create such animosity and start a conflict.

Fortunately, Dennis Trillo was able to recover his TikTok page where he would showcase his funny side to his fans and followers.

In a recent interview, based on that article in Bandera, Dennis was asked about the meeting that he had with It’s Showtime hosts during the annual Kapuso gala. The Kapamilya show is now airing on GMA and GTV.

Dennis shared the specific conversation he had with comedian-host Vice Ganda. “Okay naman. Alam niyo, pagpasok pa lang namin, sina Vice Ganda, mga miyembro ng It’s Showtime, okay naman. Sabi pa niya, ‘uy, congrats!’ Congrats saan? ‘Meron tayong MMFF, may pelikula tayo du’n.’ So, okay naman, wala namang nagbago,” he said.

When asked about receiving intense bashing for the first time for that issue, Dennis said that it was indeed the first time because he never had an enemy in the entertainment industry.

The actor said that he just chose to ignore the negative comments because it will not help him if he paid attention to the negativity on social media.

Meanwhile, Dennis Trillo is excited to get hate comments from the viewers of the Kapuso primetime series Pulang Araw because of his “kontrabida role.” He said that the reactions from the viewers will measure how effective his portrayal of his antagonist character is.

Previously, the Kapuso drama king commended his co-star Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards for his passion and determination as if he never gets tired when they are filming.
