Janice de Belen on ex-husband John Estrada: “We’re fine, we’re civil.”

Hinding-hindi raw talaga darating ang panahong makikipagtrabaho si Janice de Belen sa dating asawa nitong si John Estrada.
Ito ang binigyang diin ni Janice sa usapan nila ng anak na si Kaila Estrada sa Mother’s Day episode ng Biyaheng Retro 2.0 ng Jeepney TV, na lumabas noong May 10, 2022.
Sa isang bahagi ng kanilang kuwentuhan, nagtanong si Kaila kung posible bang balang araw ay magsama sa isang proyekto sina Janice at John, o di kaya ay si Janice at ex-boyfriend na si Aga Mulach.
Diretsong tugon ni Janice, “Aga, yes, I would be open to working with him. To your dad, no.”
Inusisa ni Kaila kung ano ang dahilan ni Janice bakit puwede siya kay Aga at hindi kay John.
Paliwanag ni Janice, “Alam mo kasi, hindi kami naging mag-asawa ni Aga, so it’s different than… the relationship is different.
“It’s different with your dad kasi naging mag-asawa kami. Yung disagreements namin were not tiny disagreements.

Baka raw kasi maging pabigat lang sila sa produksiyon dahil hindi nga sila magkatinginan nang diretso sa mata.
Saad ng beteranang aktres at TV host, “And there’s a reason why we’re not exactly friends.
“[With] everything that has happened between both of us, we might be an inconvenient to the people we are working with and working for.
“Baka maging problema kami, so huwag na lang kaming maging problema at all.
“And you know, we’re fine, we’re civil. You’re grown-ups, and if you need anything you can go straight to him, di ba?”
Dito na rin pahapyaw na binalikan ni Janice ang nangyari sa hiwalayan nila ng dating asawang si John.
Aniya, “On my part, before, I had been through much more prior to the decision of separating than after.
“Because parang na-used up na lahat ng pain ko, lahat ng pain capacity ko and tears ko. Parang nagamit na through the whole process how things got to separating.
“So, by the time I decided, I was calm, I was ready for anything that’s why it was more on you. And I figured, your recovery, the way you kids will recover will depend on how I recovered.
“Kasi kung nakita niyo ako every day, umiiyak, or troubled, or yung hilo, or parang nababaliw, dun kayo mas mahihirapan.
“And I wanted to make sure that I would be okay na humarap na ako sa inyo para ang iwu-worry ko na lang, kayo, hindi na yung sarili ko.”
Ikinasal sina Janice at John noong taong 1992 ngunit naghiwalay rin noong 2001.
Meron silang apat na anak na sina Inah, Moira, Kaila, at Yuan.
Pinayagan ng korte ang kanilang annulment of marriage taong 2004.
Si Janice naman ay may anak kay Aga na si Luigi Muhlach na 35 years old na ngayon.
