Anne Curtis touched the hearts of viewers by volunteering to pay for the plane tickets of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) father of a “Tawag ng Tanghalan: Kids” contestant in an emotional episode of ‘It’s Showtime’ last February 19, 2024.

The young contestant’s tears over her longing for her father’s return prompted Anne’s act of kindness.

Moved by the child’s wish, Anne announced, “Bilang gift ko sa ‘yo, at bilang saludo ako sa mga OFW natin, sasagutin ko na ‘yung ticket ng papa mo pauwi.”

She further added the importance of paying it forward, particularly to OFWs, emphasizing their deservingness of honor and support.

Co-host Karylle lauded Anne’s generosity with a light-hearted compliment, “Ikaw na talaga ang diyosa ng OFW.”
