Taong 2015 hanggang 2016, nasubsob sa ratings ang It’s Showtime dahil sa pagsikat ng AlDub ng katapat nitong Eat Bulaga!
Aminado naman ang mga hosts ng show lalo na sina Vice Ganda at Anne Curtis na sumadsad talaga ang kanilang palabas dahil sa popularidad ng AlDub love team nina Maine Mendoza at Alden Richards.
Pero, noong nagsimula ang “Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime,” muling nanumbalik ang curiosity ng televiewers at bumalik ang kanilang interes sa noontime show ng ABS-CBN.
Ang singing contest ng show ang nagligtas at muling bumuhay sa It’s Showtime.
Ngayon, tatlong taon na sa ere ang “Tawag ng Tanghalan” at ipinagdiriwang na rin ng It’s Showtime ang kanilang 10th anniversary simula kahapon, October 1.
Sa presscon ng programa noong September 30, itinuturing ni Vice na “humbling experience” ang pinagdaanan nila noon.
Kuwento pa niya sa PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang piling press, “Masaya. Masaya na ang dami pa ring nagmamahal sa Showtime.
“It was a humbling experience. It was a learning experience.
“Maraming naituro sa amin ang pangyayaring yun, hindi lang sa programa namin at sa buong network at sa amin personal.
“Maraming naituro sa akin.
“Naituro sa akin na ang panahon ay hindi mo hawak, ang puso rin ng ibang tao ay hindi mo hawak.
“Ang tanging magagawa mo lang ay ang magpasalamat sa pagkakataong minamahal ka nila at mahalin mo din sila sa mga pagkakataong minamahal mo sila.
“At kung hahabaan pa nila yung pagmamahal nila para sa ’yo, e, isang malaking biyaya na yun mula sa langit.”
ANNE CURTIS: “PART OF THE JOURNEY”
Sa kanyang panig naman, masasabi naman ni Anne na bahagi ng kanilang paglalakbay sa palabas ang kanilang naranasang pagsadsad sa ratings.
Saad nito, “I think, it’s part of the journey ng Showtime, di ba, you have to experience something that will humble you.
“And we grew stronger as a family.
“We all, alam yun, put so much heart into not giving up on our show.
“And I think that’s what reached out to our viewers.
“That’s what they saw.
“And we’re very thankful to be at the position now that we’re still celebrating, we’re going to be celebrating ten years.
“So we’re very, very thankful.
“And I guess, it just shows that we will always be prepared for what will happen in the future coz who knows it may happen again and at least we know that we can get through it together.”
