In an interview with talent manager and TV host Boy Abunda with Aquino on February 14, Kris admitted that prayer is not her only support now as she continues to go through the series of illnesses she is going through.

“I want to thank you because people I do not know, people who have never met me, I don’t know you everywhere Boy,” Aquino continued.

According to the TV host who is currently receiving treatment in California, USA, the warm love for her from the Filipino community there is priceless and they continue to pray for her.

“Someone delivered food here, I was asleep, they brought prayer booklets, the community here in LA is so big and I barely go out, but when my son goes out they recognize [him]. And all of that, I haven’t encountered anyone who hasn’t told my children, my siblings and people who know they are my friends that they are praying for them and they say ‘he needs to get well, because we still have something waiting for him, we still want to watch him’. I can’t promise you that,” he added.

Although there is no certainty about his return to television, Kris assured that he will not just give up on the illness he is currently going through.

“There are so many things I can’t do, but this is my promise to you, I will not let you down because I have given up, there is no way in my view of life that I can give up, I have to fight, I will not humiliate myself in front of you because you have given me the best gift, your love and support and prayers,” he said.

For now, Aquino continues to ask for prayers and supplications to face the next six months of treatment.
