Anne Curtis, Kim Chiu in tears after watching ‘And the Breadwinner is…’
Kapamilya star Anne Curtis organized and sponsored a block screening of her friend Vice Ganda’s MMFF movie ‘And the breadwinner is..’ at Powerplant Mall in Makati City.
Vice graced the special screening and his co-star Gladys Reyes also dropped by.
On-screen partners Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino also attended the block screening.
Other stars spotted inside the cinema were Agot Isidro, Enchong Dee, Jas and Jarren of PBB Gen 11, Georgina Wilson, Liz Uy, Ricci Chan and more.
After the screening, Vice together with Anne, Kim and Paulo, went to do a live interview for TV Patrol. Anne was still wiping her tears after the movie.
Kim also said she was in tears watching Vice pull off heavy dramatic scenes.
“Vice Ganda, wala na, Comedy, horror, and drama. Grabe ang drama ma, may mga lines na talagang ang sakit po. Parang totoo siya. Pinapatamaan nyo po ba ako? Pero yung iyak ko talaga nagulat talaga ko na ang isang Vice Ganda ay nagpapaiyak na.”
Paulo congratulated Vice not just for his acting but also for how effective and relatable their material is.
“Nakakatuwa dahil tumatagos sa puso yung mga eksena, im sure lahat ng tumataguyod ng pamilya or may sinusuportahan na tao sa buhay nila ay makakarelate dito.” says Paulo.
Meanwhile, Vice shared a funny anecdote when Anne started bawling in tears.
“Sobra siyang hagulgol nang hagulgol, naririnig ko na yung ilong niya. Ayoko siyang bigyan ng tissue kasi bilang ko lang yung tissue na gagamitin ko din. Eh katabi ko rin yung mga PBB guys na sina Jas at Jarren, humahagulgol din sila. Binilang ko yung tissue ko, binigay ko na yung tissue sa kanila. Eh meron pa kong isang eksena.”
Vice added, “Nakakaloka kasi pangalawang panood ko na ito, pero naiiyak pa rin ako.”
On Friday, December 27, is Kim and Paulo’ turn to host a block screening for Vice.
