NavarroThe hosts of “It’s Showtime” offered a moment of silence and a prayer last Saturday (Jan 25) for their co-host Vhong Navarro after news broke he was beaten up in a condominium in Taguig City, which triggered an outpouring of support for the actor-comedian and outrage over the brutal assault on him.
“Thanks to all our Kapamilya who were with us last night to pray and who expressed their love for Vhong,” said Vice Ganda in Filipino during the noontime show’s opening. “We are thankful that Vhong is still alive and he’ll still be with us.”

Vhong will temporarily not be seen on “It’s Showtime” as he continues to recover, said his manager, director Chito Rono. Video of an emotional Navarro appeared on ‘Buzz ng Bayan’ Sunday where he narrated the violent incident.
