Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has this reaction to being called “mataray” by some other people.

Marian is one of the most beautiful faces in the Philippine entertainment industry of this generation. Her beauty is admired by both male and female fans. However, despite her angelic looks, some people think that she is “mataray” or someone that has that certain level of arrogance or someone with a sharp tongue.

Marian is aware that some people perceive her that way and that she has this kind of public image. In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, the Kapuso star said that she is “mataray”.

“Mataray talaga ako,” she said. When asked if she would ever change this attitude if given a chance to turn back time.

Marian Rivera answered that she wants herself to be like this. “Hindi, kasi ‘yung pagiging mataray ko naman ay arte-arte lang. Kumbaga eto lang ako kasi sa Cavite ganito talaga kami e. Pero hindi naman ibig sabihin hindi ako sweet, hindi ako malambing, hindi ako caring,” the actress explained.

She added that perhaps, this is just the people’s perception of her but if they will know her deeper, she is a “baklang babae.” “So okay lang naman ako na ganon ako,” Marian said.

On the other hand, the actress said that having this kind of aura made other people would misjudge her. Although she is not affected by this, Marian said that people should have experienced working with her first before judging her.

The actress also stressed that being “mataray” is in the right place. She said that if she does not want something, she is transparent about this. Marian shared that her husband Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes knows this but her “mataray” aura has diminished when she became a mom.

Now, she would just become silent she does not want something. The actress added that motherhood has changed her and that she is now more patient.
