Julia Montes is making her long-overdue TV comeback as she joins the cast of Ang Probinsyano.
Julia will reunite with former onscreen partner and rumored real-life boyfriend Coco Martin. According to a Dreamscape Entertainment Instagram post, she will play his character’s leading lady.
Coco and Julia first worked together in the 2012 drama Walang Hanggan, and also shared the screen in 2015’s Wansapanataym’s Yamashita’s Treasures.
Aside from Julia, Tommy Abuel, Rosanna Roces, Michael Flores, Vangie Labalan, Marela Torre, Chai Fonacier, Elora Españo, and Joseph Marco are also joining the Ang Probinsyano cast.
Julia took a break from showbiz in 2018, to spend time with her father in Germany.
In February 2020, she returned to the small screen in the series 24/7, but her comeback was shortlived after the show stopped production due to the pandemic and the rejection of ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal.
She was also meant to star in the action drama Burado with Nadine Lustre, but the show was scrapped in August 2020 because of coronavirus restrictions.
Julia and Coco have long been rumored to be dating, though neither of them have addressed the rumors. Aside from Ang Probinsyano, the two are also working together on a Brillante Mendoza project filmed in Pola, Oriental Mindoro. – Rappler.com
