But before the pandemic, RB’s name was more closely linked to her longtime client Kris Aquino with whom she was happy to work again after three years.

Last February 25, the Queen of All Media made her first public appearance at the PeopleAsia’s People of the Year 2025 awards to support her close friend, renowned Filipino fashion designer Michael Leyva who was one of the awardees.

In her Instagram post last February 26, RB shared how she felt working with her longtime client again. She wrote, “After three years, I finally got to do her makeup again—something I had hoped for but feared might never happen. But last night, it did, and I couldn’t have been happier.”

“Kris is still very sick—frail, fragile, and fighting every day—which made every makeup product and brushstroke feel like a risk. With her severe allergies and flares, I was terrified she’d react, especially since she hasn’t worn makeup since her health declined. But by some miracle, her reaction was minimal, and that alone was a huge relief.

“Her appearance was brief but deeply meaningful—a sign that she’s still here, still fighting, still moving forward.

“Despite everything, she made her first public appearance since becoming very ill. The real queen, the Kris we all love and miss, is still here—stronger than we know. And maybe, just maybe, this is the start of something more.

“Finally, #RBeautified… again, and hopefully, just the first of many more times to come.”Having become a trusted family friend after working together for a long time, Kris shared how she entrusted her children to RB on an earlier flight back to the Philippines after their US trip in 2020. Kris wrote, “In fact, RB is now the guardian of Kuya Josh & Bimb, because they’re flying home this morning… unfortunately Bincai and [I] are coughing, have sore throats, and body aches and I lost my voice… praying we both didn’t get the flu since it’s flu season here in the US, so we go home in a few days.”

Last year, RB was able to spend time with Kris’ sons Josh and Bimby when they were in Manila. She wrote, “Distance means so little when the bond means so much! Missed my gentle giants – Kuya Josh and Bimb. Finally… reunited and it feels so good. Love you both so much! 💕💕💕”
