Ruru Madrid Black Rider Coco Martin

“Black Rider” held a press conference on Friday, where lead star Ruru Madrid shared an encounter he had with Coco Martin at an event.

In an Instagram video shared by GMA Network Friday, the Primetime Action Hero narrated how he decided to come up to Coco and introduce himself because he had long been a fan.

“Nagpakilala ako dahil sobrang taas ng respeto ko sa kanya, sobrang taas ng pag-hanga ko sa kanya,” Ruru began. “Hindi pa ko nag-aartista nuon, nanunuod na ko ng mga teleserye na ginagawa niya. That’s why I was very happy nung nakita ko siya nung gabing yon,” he said.

[I introduced myself because I am a fan. I have high respects for him. I have been watching his teleseryes long before I became an actor. That’s why I was very happy when I saw him that night.”

He approached Coco and said, “Sir Coco, ako si Ruru Madrid galing GMA. Isang malaking malaking karangalang makilala kita.”

[Sir coco, my name is Ruru Madrid of GMA. It’s an honor to meet you.]

“Ano ka ba? Ako nga dapat magsabi niyan sa ‘yo,” Ruru narrates Coco as tell him. “Malaking karangalan na makilala kita. Pinapanuod kita sa GMA,” he adds.

[What are you saying? I should be the one saying that to you. It’s an honor to meet you. I watch you on GMA.]

According to Ruru, Coco told him how he should continue the work he is doing.

“Nakikita ko yang mga ginagawa mo, yang mga efforts mo. Ipagpatuloy mo lang yan,” he said. “Sa totoo nga niyan, naghahanda na kami,” he adds.

[I can see what you’re doing, your efforts. Just keep doing them. To be honest, we are preparing for you.]

The two action stars hugged it out, before Coco once again encouraged Ruru to keep at it. “Ipagpatuloy mo lang yan. Nakikita ko yang pagiging makatao mo. Tuloy mo lang yan.”

[Just keep at it. I can see how you are very humane. Just keep doing it.]

Ruru Madrid already has us ramped up excited for November 6, when “Black Rider” hits premieres on GMA-7. At the press conference, he gave a little taste of the kind of action we will get from his upcoming series: On Friday, the Sparkle talent made an entrance to the press con venue, in tight leather pants, on sexy motorcycle.
