Lindsay Custodio’s Husband Files Cyber Libel Complaint Against Her

LINDAY CUSTODIO – Singer-actress Lindsay Custodio is now facing a cyber libel complaint filed by her husband, sparking controversy and public interest.

Actress and singer Lindsay Custodio has been charged with cyber libel by her husband, Frederick Cale, over an article published by PEP.ph in 2022. The case was filed in Cebu, where Custodio is currently staying to face the legal complaint.

The issue was revisited on the March 5 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, where the veteran host recalled Lindsay’s previous statements regarding an alleged traumatic experience on the day of her wedding to Frederick.

According to the article in question, Lindsay claimed that before heading to their wedding reception, Frederick allegedly forced her to withdraw their wedding gift checks, as well as money from both her personal and joint accounts, to pay for wedding expenses.

During the show, Boy Abunda mentioned that they had reached out to Lindsay before the program aired. She expressed her shock and disappointment over her husband’s decision to file the case but remained confident in the truth.

“It’s sad that he did that. [I am] very disappointed, of course, but it’s okay because what I have is the truth…” Lindsay said in a statement aired on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. “I was shocked and disappointed that he did that even though he knew in his heart what really happened.”

Before the cyber libel case, Frederick had previously filed a perjury case against Lindsay. However, the Muntinlupa Prosecutor’s Office dismissed the complaint. Additionally, in the past year, Lindsay had also filed a case against her husband for violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act. This case was likewise dismissed by the Muntinlupa Prosecutor’s Office due to jurisdictional issues.
