After starring in several movies, Enrique Gil shared he is now looking forward to collaborating with Liza Soberano in co-producing future projects.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Nov. 13, the local star shared that Soberano is among the actresses he’s looking to work with soon now that he’s back in the acting scene.

“Of course, si Liza. But she is in the US,” Gil said, adding that the Lisa Frankenstein star said she was interested in co-producing his future horror project.

“She’s really busy, but we were talking the other day, and sabi niya she is really interested in my other project, the horror,” the 32-year-old actor said.

“She is really focused on her US career. Dami niya auditions and events doon, but when she comes back, we will talk about the storyboard. She also has a production company na rin sa US side naman,” he added. “Eventually siyempre mag collab kami.”

“We are really focused on our careers, and what we’re doing. I think it’s an exciting time for us,” Gil continued.

Gil, who made an acting comeback early this year with the comedy movie I Am Not Big Bird, is set to star in the Metro Manila Film Fest entry, Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital, alongside Jane de Leon, Alexa Miro, Rob Gomez, and beauty queen MJ Lastimosa, among others. He will also make a TV comeback with a rom-com series.

Soberano, meanwhile, made her Hollywood debut via the movie Lisa Frankenstein co-starring Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse. Her most recent collaboration is with Thai artist Bright Vachirawit in his upcoming music video for his song Long Showers.

The two, collectively known in their loveteam LizQuen, has been embroiled in split rumors since May last year, though they have been repeatedly shutting down the speculations in separate interviews. In February, Gil dismissed the rumors anew, noting they’re both just “super busy.”

The tandem debuted in the teleserye Forevermore in 2014. They have been in a relationship for the past eight years, though they only went public about their status in 2019.
