MANILA — Kapamilya actor McCoy de Leon turned to social media to express his gratitude for being part of ABS-CBN’s hit series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” with actor Coco Martin.
De Leon, who plays David in the action drama, also greeted the primetime series on its first year anniversary.
“Sa isang taon ko sa ‘Batang Quiapo’, malaking bagay bilang aktor makakuha ng mga rekognisyon ulit. Kaya taos puso po ako nagpapasalamat sa inyong lahat,” de Leon wrote.
“Happy 1st anniversary at maraming salamat ‘Batang Quiapo’.. maraming salamat David.”
The first taping day of “Batang Quiapo” was during the Black Nazarene festivity in 2023.
McCoy de Leon shared:
I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who gave me this wonderful opportunity. Being a part of “Batang Quiapo” has been a very special experience in my career.
I feel lucky to work with talented actors and a creative team. Every day on set is a valuable lesson, helping me grow as a professional. I cherish every moment, from the emotional scenes to the intimate laughter with my friends and colleagues.
Thank you to the director and producer for believing in my ability. I will try my best to not disappoint everyone’s expectations. “Batang Quiapo” is not just a project, but also a family that I am proud to belong to. I hope the audience will love and support us on this journey.
