The video, which circulated widely online, appeared to show Earl leaning in closely towards Marian’s chest, capturing her seemingly uncomfortable reaction. In the clip, Marian can be seen saying, “Kanina ka pa, kuya. Kanina ka pa eh”, which sparked outrage among netizens, many of whom accused Earl of “peeping” at the actress.

Taking to Facebook, Earl refuted the allegations, claiming the video was intentionally edited to paint him in a bad light. He insisted that the full context of the incident was not captured, leading to misunderstandings.

“Actually hindi naman na issue ito talagang kumalat lang ang video dahil sa taong one sided ang utak. Kung malawak lang sana ang pagkakakuha ng video ay makikita ninyo ang totoong sitwasyon,” he explained, sharing a photo of himself with Marian after the event.

Earl described how crowded the venue was, with fans eager to get close to the actress. He said his role was to ensure her safety amidst the chaos.

“Paano na lang kaya kung wala ako sa designation ko edi mas nabastos si Marian at hindi na mapipigilan ang mga taong halos lumapit sa kanya,” he pointed out.

Earl further explained that a colleague had whispered to him about crowd control measures, prompting him to lean closer to hear better amidst the noise.

“Bumulong ang kasama ko at nagtanong about sa crowd control at sa buong makakaya ko nilapit ko ang tenga at sana man lang kung may audio na malinaw ang video ay nag-excuse talaga ako kaya nga nilapit ko ang tenga ko sa kasamahan ko dahil mahihirapan ka sumenyas, mahihirapan ka igalaw ang katawan mo dahil sa dami ng tao sa paligid mo na sana ay nakunan din ng video,” he clarified.

He also addressed Marian’s comment in the video, “May isang crowd na nagpupumilit na makalapit kay Marian at nakikipagtalo sa amin kung makikita ninyo sa video na sinabihan na ‘Kuya kanina ka pa.’ I swear hindi ako iyon, sinundan niya ng tingin iyon at nagkataon na sa akin ng tingin dahil nga kami ng mga kasamahan ko ang nagse-secure ng kanyang safety.” Earl insisted that it was directed at another person in the crowd attempting to approach her, not him.

Earl emphasized that there were no issues between him and Marian afterward, noting that they even had a brief chat about crowd management and took a photo together in the holding area.

In his post, Earl called out the individuals who edited and spread the video, accusing them of creating unnecessary drama for personal gain.

“Kaya sana makonsensya kayo sa mga ginagawa ninyo. Huwag kayo maging one-sided kung hindi naman ninyo alam ang kabuuan ng story,” he urged.

Earl also revealed that the incident took place six months ago, questioning why it was suddenly being sensationalized.
