Talking on his personal youtube channel, former centre-back Rio Ferdinand shared some remarkable things about his fellow countryman.

Talking about Jadon Sancho’s failure at Manchester United, legend Rio Ferdinand shared:

“I’ve known Sancho since he was a kid, and I also know his family. I was really mad when he joined Man United, because Sancho did some great things at Dortmund. ”

“What happened after that? It’s a chapter in his career that Sancho will want to forget. Sometimes, the same thing happens in football, an inappropriate move.”

Ferdinand regrets about Sancho.

“It seems like for some reason Sancho didn’t fit in with Man Utd, the style of play never suited him. Man United have become almost a transitional team, and that’s not how Sancho plays. He’s a different kind of footballer, that’s not his style.”

“That style never suited Sancho, and that’s a shame because I still think he can be a top player. Now Sancho has to prove it, and there’s pressure on him. Sancho has shown he has the potential, he needs the right team and the right platform.”
