Vice Ganda shared something about Allan K

Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda shared that Eat Bulaga host Allan K was one of his biggest inspirations in the entertainment industry.

Vice had a humble beginning in showbiz. From being a regular in comedy bars, he was given the chance to enter the mainstream media. Eventually, he was able to have his own shows and movies.

Nowadays, he is one of the blockbuster stars with his high-earning movies, especially during the Metro Manila Film Festival season.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Vice Ganda was asked who became his inspiration in the industry that helped him achieve the success that he has now.

“Marami. Si Regine Velasquez, inspiration ko ‘yan. ‘Yung mga nauna sa akin sa industry, sila John Lapus, sila Allan K,” the Unkabogable Star said. Just like Vice, Allan also started in comedy bars and eventually found success on TV as one of the hosts of the longest-running noontime show.

The Kapamilya comedian shared a particular incident when he was inspired by the Eat Bulaga host. That was the time when Allan brought Vice to his home.

“Dinala niya kasi ako once sa bahay niya. Nagsisimula pa lang ako, tapos, gandang-ganda ako sa bahay niya,” he shared, adding that he praised Allan for having that beautiful house with a swimming pool.

Vice said to Allan that he could no longer have this kind of property. However, Allan said that he could achieve this and even more. “Tapos sabi niya (Allan K) ‘maa-achieve mo ‘yan, baka nga more pa. Sabi niyang ganu’n. Tapos parang na-inspire ako masyado,” Vice shared.

Vice Ganda also shared his message to his younger self. He would say to “Tutoy”, his nickname, “Congratulations!” The comedian said that his younger self was really ambitious and had a certain aura of wanting to achieve the things he dreams.

He said that Tutoy’s “ambisyosa” trait paid off because he is now reaping the success of his hard work and determination.
