Kim admits Xian was jealous of Gerald

Kim Chiu says her rumored boyfriend Xian Lim was jealous of her role in ‘Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin’ opposite her ex, Gerald Anderson.

MANILA — Kim Chiu has revealed that Xian Lim initially felt jealous over her being paired with her ex-boyfriend, Gerald Anderson, for the daytime drama “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin.”

On Wednesday, Chiu, who is Canada-bound for an “ASAP” show, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport where she was asked on the rumors claiming that working with Anderson has had an effect on her relationship with Lim.

Looking uncomfortable with the question, Chiu replied: “Tawanan na lang natin [iyong rumors]. Alam naman niya [Lim] na work lang iyon. Pero siyempre hindi maiiwasan. Basta, work naman iyon eh.”

She added that Lim will always be “special” to her, but admitted that her rumored boyfriend could not help but feel bothered by her role opposite Anderson, whom she dated for four years.

Chiu furthered, however, that Lim is now okay with it.

In an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” early this month, Lim had to deny speculations that he and Chiu have decided to cut off their relationship because of Anderson.

“I get it if people will have that conclusion,” Lim explained. “I mean I can’t say that it’s completely okay but it’s part of it. It’s easy kasi to get confused with the characters we portray in the teleseryes and the movies and in personal life.”

Lim and Chiu then shared a sweet moment during his solo concert. Before continuing with his performance, he asked Chiu for a hug, saying that he needed one to boost his confidence
