Kim Chiu gives update on movie with Paulo Avelino

MANILA — On her way to Taipei, Taiwan to attend the ContentAsia Awards 2024, ABS-CBN News caught up with Kapamilya actress and TV host Kim Chiu to ask for updates on her movie with Paulo Avelino.

“We are about to start. We are excited, the ghost month is over. The script will be ready, so we are slowly gearing up to start the movie,” she said.

Chiu and Avelino made the movie announcement on “It’s Showtime” weeks back and also shared its intriguing title: “My Love Will Make You Disappear.”

Buzz and rumors about the two spending more time outside work sparked when they were spotted jogging, biking, and working out together.

Even when abroad for shows and events, Chiu and Avelino would wake up early for the morning jog.

Is it true that they are joining a duathlon together?

“That’s not true, it’s just a coincidence that he also enjoys biking and running, come and join us. You want to come, come with us,” she explained.

Chiu and Avelino first worked together in the hit series “Linlang” and had a follow-up project, “What’s wrong with Secretary Kim.”

BTS’ Jin to drop solo album ‘Happy’ on Nov. 15

Jin, a member of the K-pop sensation BTS, is set to release his debut solo album in November, his agency announced late Monday.

In a notice on fan community app Weverse, BigHit Music said the album, “Happy,” would be released on November 15.

The record includes six songs, “each with its own unique vibe [and] all grounded in a band sound,” BigHit said.

The label described the album as “Jin’s heartfelt invitation for fans to join him on his journey to discover happiness.”

“With his sincere emotions and warm messages to his fans woven throughout ‘Happy,’ we hope the album brings joy to all of you,” BigHit said, addressing fans.

While “Happy” will be Jin’s first solo album, the 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, has previously released solo tracks, including “Super Tuna” and “The Astronaut.”

He has also contributed to K-drama soundtracks, recording “It’s Definitely You” with bandmate V for the period series “Hwarang” in 2016 and “Yours” for the mystery drama “Jirisan” in 2021.

In June, Jin became the first of BTS’ seven members to complete his military service, a requirement for most able-bodied South Korean men under the age of 30 as the country remains technically at war with the nuclear-armed North.

BTS is expected to reunite as a complete group of seven in 2025 after all members finish their mandatory service.
