MANILA — Some netizens on Saturday were quick to notice that “Deleter” actress Nadine Lustre had unfollowed her ex-boyfriend James Reid on Instagram, as well as celebrity sisters Issa and Yassi Pressman.

After a while, Yassi also seemed remove the actress-singer from her Instagram’s following list, adding fuel to the feud that is taking over the internet. Issa and Reid, meanwhile, are still following the “Ulan” star.

The stars were involved in a longstanding controversy when netizens started suspecting Issa as “the reason” that Lustre and Reid broke up in 2020, which Yassi denied in an Instagram post where she was seen laughing and dining with Lustre.

Early last year, Reid and Issa publicized their relationship and attended interviews and events together. This caused the social media to revive the issue yet again and keep a close look on the involved celebrities.

Reid has always clarified in his statements that Issa had nothing to do with his split with his former partner. When asked if he will accept a reunion project with Lustre, he quickly rejected the idea.

“I don’t think so. Maybe out of respect for my partner, my girlfriend. Also, for my mental health,” he said.

As for Yassi, she claimed in 2023 that she and Lustre were “okay” even with the existing relationship of her sister and Reid.

“Kami po ni Nadine, OK po kami. OK din po ‘yung buong pamilya namin,” Yassi said.

Lustre, Reid, and Yassi were co-stars in the movie adaptations of Wattpad Filipino novels “Diary ng Panget” and “Talk Back and You’re Dead”.
