Kylie Verzosa cries �misquoted� on Coco Martin�s relationship status

MANILA, Philippines — “I was misquoted!” Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa exclaimed when asked if she really confirmed that Coco Martin is single.

Kylie worked with Martin for his directorial debut for last year’s Manila Film Festival entry, “Ang Panday.”

Early this year, Kylie was interviewed at “Tonight With Boy Abunda,” where she was asked by the show’s host, Boy Abunda, if she is willing to date Coco, who he said, “isn’t currently single.”

A news report said “Verzosa heard otherwise.”

“I heard he wasn’t,” Kylie was quoted in the news report as saying.

While many might interpret this as Kylie saying that Coco is single, in a recent interview with the beauty queen during a SuperStar Virgo event where she is a brand ambassador, she clarified to Philstar.com what she really meant.

“No, I think I said otherwise!” she said when asked again if Coco is single.

She also confirmed that Coco is indeed seeing actress Julia Montes.

“I’ve never seen them together. But I heard good things about them, so I wish them the best!” Kylie said.

Knowing that Coco is not single, Kylie stressed that she is not willing to date her “Ang Panday” director. For her, he is more of a mentor, so she looks forward to working with him again in the future.

“Sana! He’s super fun to work with and super nag-bibigay s’ya ng information, more on mentor s’ya,” explained Kylie, who learned from Coco to watch more Filipino movies and to read more Tagalog books, so she can become more comfortable speaking in the vernacular.

“It’s a whole different industry than what I’m used to. It’s a whole experience for me,” she said of her first movie. She disclosed that she is already working on the next one.

Has it always been her dream to become an actress?

“Siguro, parang hidden dream or hidden passion of mine. Siguro ngayon lang natutupad or sana gusto ko pa s’yang ma-develop this year!”
