As Sandro Muhlach continues his battle against GMA’s independent contractors, Muhlach declared that his fight is dedicated to victims of sexual abuse while stating that he won’t be “silenced.”

Muhlach filed a complaint of rape through sexual assault and acts of lasciviousness against independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz before the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Monday, August 19, as confirmed by his lawyer Czarina Quintanilla-Raz.

On the same day, the actor took to his Instagram Stories to share how the alleged abuse affected him, saying the incident caused him to suffer from “anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.”

“I will not be silenced. The truth will prevail,” he wrote.

“What you did to me, it wrecked me. Hirap na hirap ako makatulog since it happened. Anxiety and PTSDs are hard to beat. Everyday akong hina-haunt ng trauma ko. Ayoko mangyari sa iba ’yung ginawa sa’kin. Kaya sinabi ko sa kapatid ko na sana wag mangyari sa kanya yung nangyari sa’kin kasi hirap na hirap na ko,” said Muhlach in a follow-up Instagram Story.

(What you did to me, it wrecked me. I have been having a hard time sleeping since it happened. Anxiety and PTSDs are hard to beat. My trauma haunts me every day. I don’t want others to go through what I have been through. This is why I tell my brother that I hope he won’t have to suffer the same thing because I’m having such a hard time.)

Muhlach admitted that he is still disgusted with himself while pointing out that he’s trying his best to be “okay” for his loved ones, especially his mother Edith Millare.

“Diring diri pa din ako sa sarili ko. Napakahirap tanggapin lahat ng ginawa sa’kin. I’m trying my best to be okay para hindi mag-alala ’yung pamilya ko lalo na ’yung mommy ko na nasa Amerika na araw araw umiiyak dahil sinisisi niya ang sarili niya na malayo siya at hindi ako maprotektahan. But the truth is hindi ako okay,” he said.

(I’m still disgusted with myself. It’s hard to accept what happened to me. I’m trying my best to be okay so my family won’t be worried about me, especially my mother who’s in the US. She cries every day. She blames herself for not being able to protect me because she’s far away. But the truth is I’m not okay.)

The actor then thanked his friends and family for standing by him throughout the ordeal.

“Thank you to all my friends and family who always [check] up on me. I really appreciate it. Ang laban ko ay para din sa lahat ng inaabuso (My fight is dedicated to the victims of abuse). The truth will prevail,” he said.

In a follow-up post, Muhlach reshared a post by one @theunsilentsurvivor which states that “one out of six men are sexually assaulted or abused.”

Nones was ordered detained by Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada, saying he dispelled that he offered to donate money to the charity of choice of Muhlach’s father, former child star Niño Muhlach, as a form of settlement.
