Heart Evangelista on absence at some fashion week shows: ‘Minsan nakakatamad na’

Fashion influencer Heart Evangelista said that sometimes she gets “lazy” to attend some fashion week shows, describing it as possibly a “sign of aging.”

On her recent Instagram Live, the actress-fashionista was asked by her followers about her absence at the New York Fashion Week last Sept. 6-11, and she said that she chose to attend the birthday party of her husband Sen. Chiz Escuderos kids from his first marriage.

“I don’t know. I feel like I was supposed to be there for a cause and for a few brands, but I didn’t get to go because I have work here in the Philippines and also because it’s the birthday of the twins so they’re turning 17,” she explained.

“And 17 is not a joke. I have to be here and I don’t know. Actually, before I will go for like three days for the show and then I’ll come back. I think it’s the sign of aging. Minsan nakakatamad na (Sometimes I get already lazy),” added the fashion icon.

The 39-year-old actress further explained that she has to accommodate many shows so that sometimes she wants to just choose her personal “lakad” (event).

 

“So sometimes, I will go but I’m a little tamad because I’ll gonna do Paris, Milan and then, I’ll gonna fly to Bangkok. So I’ll gonna be gone for almost a month. So I have to choose my lakad,” she stated.

Last month, Evangelista announced that she would skip the New York Fashion Week because she had “prior commitments” while affirming that “time is precious and health is important.”

In the same IG Live, the Kapuso actress was also asked about her comeback in the silver screen as well as television.“I’m working on a movie. I cannot say yet what movie. But I think it’s next year and I’m working on two movies next year. I’m very excited about that. I haven’t done movies in a long time. So I’m excited,” declared the actress.

“One is something that will gonna shot here because it’s gonna be sensual in a very artistic, beautiful way. I really want to do something dark and then, I’ll gonna do a love story,” she said, adding that she’s also doing a surprise series on GMA Network set to air in October.
