Nicko Falcis to Gretchen Barretto: “Thank you! No to bullies! No to power tripping!”

Nicko Falcis on Gretchen Barretto’s post supporting him: “Her act of posting this message in open support of my family and I, and against the seemingly formidable Aquino machinery, was a brave and bold move she made.”

Nicko Falcis is grateful for Gretchen Barretto’s support for him in his feud with Kris Aquino.

According to Nicko, he and Gretchen don’t know each other so he is very happy that someone like the former actress has stood up for the welfare of people like him.

In Nicko’s Instagram post last night, January 7, he said that Gretchen made a “brave and bold move” against the Aquino machinery.

He said, “Thank you, Ms Gretchen Barreto for your post.

“Her act of posting this message in open support of my family and I, and against the seemingly formidable Aquino machinery, was a brave and bold move she made.

“We do not know each other so this is such a blessing, along with thousands of well-meaning messages of strength and support from random people.

“I’ve read her other posts here and there, and seen her YT [YouTube] videos.

“She is intelligent, refined and articulate but I never thought that she would be capable of going out of her comfort zone to write such a post.

“Thank you! No to bullies! No to power tripping!”

“STOP POWER TRIPPING”
On January 5, Gretchen shared on her Instagram a screenshot of a PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) article about Kris’ alleged threat against her former financial adviser and business partner Nicko. The title of the article published by PEP.ph was “Nicko Falcis swears Kris Aquino said: ‘PAPAPATAY KA NG PAMILYA KO’” which was published on Friday, January 4.

Gretchen said she felt sorry for Nicko for what he had gone through.

Her message in the caption, “I feel for mr. Nicko Falcis after reading this article. I salute him for his courage to speak the truth, fight for his family name & reputation inspite of the threat to his life No to bullies!!!! STOP POWER TRIPPING”

Gretchen did not directly call Kris a “bully” and a “power tripper,” but it appears that she was referring to the relative of her longtime partner Tonyboy Cojuangco.

Kris did not deny Gretchen’s comment.

The dispute between Kris and Nicko—former managing director of Kris’ digital company and also served as the actress/host/web star’s talent agent and endorsement closer—originated over the latter’s alleged unauthorized use of the company’s credit card to pay for his personal expenses.

Nicko allegedly spent PHP1,270,980.31, prompting Kris to file charges for Qualified Theft and Violation of Republic Act No. 8484.

Kris is seeking total damages of PHP32.27 million.
