GMA Chairman and CEO expresses the message as Its Showtime finally inked the contract.
ITS SHOWTIME – A historic deal has been made! Its Showtime is finally with GMA and Kapuso exec has this statement about this.
It’s a done deal.
A week after Its Showtime’s move to GTV has been announced, the inking of the contract happened. This is to formalize the transfer of the well-loved Kapamilya noontime show. Top executives of both media giants were present along with the hosts of the show.
Hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, Jhong Hilario, Amy Perez, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpus, Ryan Bang, Jacqui Gonzaga, Ion Perez, Cianne Dominguez, MC Muah, and Lassy were present. The event missed Vhong Navarro and Karylle.

Mark Lopez, Chairman; Carlo Katigbak, President and CEO; Cory Vidanes, Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast; and Paul Piedad, OIC – Finance Group were also there.
Atty. Gozon; Gilberto “Jimmy” Duavit, President and COO; Felipe Yalong, EVP and Chief Financial Officer; and Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, SVP for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President and CEO of GMA Films were also present at the event.
The signing happened at Seda Vertis North Hotel in Quezon City.
And in the event, Atty. Gozon said in his speech that this marks the end of the TV war. This is something he can say “without any fear of contradiction”. The ones who will benefit the most from this are accordingly their audience.
“Malugod naming tinatanggap ang popular program na It’s Showtime at ang magaganda at maraming talents na bumubuo nito, na pinangungunahan ni Vice Ganda,” he said.
He also expressed his gladness that they were chosen by ABS-CBN. He believes that the network has the skills, expertise, experience, and resources that are very formidable.
Atty. Gozon added based on a report from PEP, “Dahil malawak ang analog at digital reach, at malinaw ang signal at reception ng GTV, malamang daw ay hindi lamang ma-maintain ang mataas na rating ng It’s Showtime kundi baka tumaas pa.”
