Coco Martin said that people have become divided as seen on social media

Kapamilya actorΒ Coco MartinΒ revealed the reason why he decided to stay away from social media, especially during the height of the pandemic.

It is natural for celebrities nowadays to engage in different social media platforms. This has become another way of promoting and making important announcements. However, Coco is among many celebrities who are still not active or not so active on social media.

In a recent article by King of Talk Boy Abunda in Pilipino Star Ngayon, it was said that the Kapamilya actor came up with the decision not to consume social media because of the negative things he saw and experienced.

β€œKasi mahirap lalo kaming artista, tao kami, nagkukulang. Lalo na ngayon, actually masakit nga para sa akin, ang hinahanap nila β€˜yung mga mali. β€˜Yung mga pangit which is masakit,” Coco Martin said.

The actor also stressed that everyone is just trying to earn a living and with this everyone should help one another. He said that it hurts him every time he would see celebrities being bashed and criticized.

Coco shared that it was a conscious effort on his part not to use social media amid the pandemic. β€œLalo na aaminin ko rin noong nangyari sa ABS-CBN. Ang gulo-gulo ng lahat nag-aaway-away, nagsisiraan. Parang ang hirap tanggapin na tayu-tayo rin ang magkakasama sa hanapbuhay, tapos tayo rin ang nagsisiraan, para tayong nagwatak-watak,” he revealed.

Coco Martin is choosing a quieter life and this is why he is staying away from social media. Because of this, if there is an update in his life, the public will know about this through interviews.

The actor also stressed that the most important thing for him right now is his peace of mind and privacy. He added that he will not himself get hurt by the negative comments on social media.
