Ipinaliwanag ni Xian Lim, 29, kung bakit kailan lang sila umamin ni Kim Chiu, 28, tungkol sa kanilang relasyon.
Ito ay dahil ayaw raw niyang sabihin ng mga tao na promo lang ang relasyon nila.
Hindi man sinasabi nina Xian at Kim kung gaano na katagal ang kanilang relasyon, hindi itinatago ng aktor na ilang taon na silang magkasintahan.
November 2018 nang mapaamin si Kim sa relasyon nila ni Xian, habang nitong January 2019 nang kumpirmahin ni Xian na ilang taon na ang relasyon nila.
“Gone are the days… I mean, definitely for me, I never really believed in parang if you’re promoting something, then go all out.
“Merong nadi-develop [na relationship]… parang we don’t need that.
“Parang I’m way beyond that,” saad ni Xian sa uncut interview niya sa Tonight With Boy Abunda na umere nitong January 30, Miyerkules.
Dagdag niya, “Dito naman and all the projects that I do, I want the truth.”

Ang tinutukoy ni Xian na proyekto ay ang upcoming movie nila ni Louise delos Reyes, ang Hanggang Kailan.
Sabi ng aktor, pinaghirapan nila para pagandahin ang pelikula at hindi kailangang magpanggap na may namamagitan sa kanila ni Louise para magkainteres ang mga taong manood.
“No gimmicks, no gimmicks. That’s not me. I cannot do gimmicks,” pakli ni Xian.
Ito rin daw ang dahilan kung bakit ngayon lang sila nagsasalita ni Kim tungkol sa kanilang relasyon.
Base sa pahayag ni Xian, magkarelasyon na sila ni Kim kahit noong may proyekto pa silang magkasama.
“It’s because ayaw naming umamin while magkatrabaho kami.
“Parang I don’t want people thinking, ‘E, kasi gusto lang nilang i-promote yung team-up nila.’ ‘E, gusto lang nila i-promote yung team-up nila that’s why they’re together, they have a following.’
“But now, years later, we’re still together, we’re not promoting anything, we’re not promoting ourselves,” paliwanag niya.
Taong 2011 nang pumatok ang tambalan nina Kim at Xian—na kilala rin sa tawag na KimXi—sa prime-time series na My Binondo Girl.

Paliwanag ni Xian, “Me and Kim love each other. Sobra, sobra talaga, sobra-sobra.
“And it feels so good to be able to say this now.
“Yung mindset kasi namin, siyempre pag magkasama kami… we found each other.
“Hindi naman ito yung type of relationship na, ‘Tingnan lang natin, ha. Pagkatapos, maybe…’
“Of course, we want [to end up together], but we don’t wanna put any pressure. We just love each other so much.
“It’s been years and it still feels like the first day,” sabi ng aktor.
