Kapuso star Faith da Silva, the talented actress, recently opened up about persistent rumors surrounding her alleged romantic involvement with veteran actor Albert Martinez.

These speculations had swirled during their stint as an on-screen couple in the now-concluded GMA Network teleserye, ‘Las Hermanas.’

The gossip had caught fire, partly due to the significant age difference between da Silva, 22, and the 62-year-old Martinez. Their alleged romantic connection became a subject of curiosity and intrigue.

During a media conference for the upcoming series ‘Maging Sino Ka Man,’ da Silva shared her perspective on the matter. She emphasized that she could only speak for herself and revealed that, had she indeed developed deep feelings for Martinez, it would have been challenging to admit.

Da Silva admitted that she genuinely admired Martinez during their collaboration. She also elaborated on Martinez’s role in kindling the rumors, explaining that he had been an active participant in their on-screen partnership. This active engagement with their fans had contributed to the speculation, which persisted even after their teleserye concluded in February.

I can only answer for myself ‘di ba.

Da Silva acknowledged that navigating showbiz’s often challenging and rumor-prone landscape had been no easy feat. She emphasized that she did not wish to become entangled in rumors or interfere with Martinez’s personal life, especially given his deep and unwavering love for his late wife.

I don’t want to be involved in it. So wala? Opo. Siguro po ganon kasi aside from him being a director, bilang isang artista na kilala talaga.

He’s a gentleman.

The actress made it clear that her admiration for Martinez did not evolve into a mutual understanding or a romantic relationship. She made a distinction between her feelings and a “mutual understanding,” clarifying that they had not reached that stage.

Da Silva also provided insights into her current life, sharing that she is presently focusing on her education. She is set to graduate from Grade 12 and is exploring various possibilities for her future, including the prospect of participating in beauty pageants. However, she stressed her commitment to completing her education before venturing into any other endeavors.

Faith da Silva’s candid statements offer a glimpse into the complexities faced by public figures when addressing rumors and speculations. Her emphasis on respecting personal boundaries and private lives serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining discretion and sensitivity in the world of showbiz.

Faith da Silva is known for her roles in various television series and is currently part of the cast of ‘Maging Sino Ka Man,’ a highly-anticipated series set to premiere soon.
