“Fiesta Mo Sa USA” in Florida — the largest Filipino fiesta of its kind in Southern USA — celebrated a milestone.

On their 15th anniversary, thousands gathered at the annual Pinoy tradition at the Osceola Heritage Park Event Center in Kissimmee.

Ben English from Orlando recalled how the number of attendees has grown over time.

“This is our third year joining this,” he said. “That’s a good thing. We are elated to see this many Filipinos here.”

Filipino-Americans here reconnected with their rich culture through food and cultural performances.

Pia DeRosa from Brandon shared: “It brings out a lot of our Philippine culture (from the north mid to South). “It brings us all together, especially with the food, dancing, and celebrities.”

Fiesta Mo Sa USA was not complete without the glitz and glamour of Filipino celebrities gracing the festivities.

Kapamilya star Maymay Entrata debuted an English version of her viral single “Amakabogera,” while teleserye favorite lead actor Paulo Avelino serenaded fans.

“It’s always an honor to be able to perform for our ‘Kababayans’ abroad,” said Avelino. “It’s good to see Filipinos in other parts of the world and we’re here in Florida to bring joy to them.”

Entrata, meanwhile, said: “I just want to thank all our ‘Kapamilya’ here in Florida who went to the Fiesta Mo sa USA. Thank you all so much.”

Fans who could not get enough of their idols even got to spend some time with the stars.

Victoria Johnson from Brandon said she and her family have been avid followers of ABS-CBN programs.

“Growing up we usually watch TFC,” she said, “and that’s a very Filipino thing to do. To see people like you on TV, it makes you feel included.”

For the organizers, it was their way of giving back to the community by providing a place for Fil-Ams to connect with other members of the Filipino communities in the Sunshine State and beyond.

Riza Abadia said: “To bring service to our Kababayan, we came up with this kind of event. We all deserve this one day of entertainment to enjoy our culture, our heritage, the food.”

Organizers also promised a bigger and better Fiesta celebration at the same time, same place in 2025.
