Xian thanks Kim for ‘long years of love’

AFTER actress Kim Chiu confirmed her breakup with boyfriend Xian Lim, the actor posted a letter of gratitude for the “long years of love” on his Facebook and Instagram handles.

“The 12 years of my life with you was the best gift I could ever ask for. We have expressed our love for each other to the fullest, and knowing that I got to share those moments with you, knowing our hearts beat as one at one point in our lives, is truly something I will cherish for life,” he wrote.

‘End of a love story’: Kim Chiu confirms split with Xian Lim

MANILA, Philippines — Just two days before Christmas, Kim Chiu confirmed rumors that she and her long-time boyfriend Xian Lim had broken up.

Kim confirmed the breakup on Instagram earlier this evening by posting black-and-white photos of her and Xian from their past travels.

“End of a love story. It took me a while to say this until today.

“We owe our supporters the truth, but we also respect each other’s time of healing. In a relationship, love is always a significant factor, but sometimes love is not enough,” the actress wrote.

She continued, “We shared more than a decade of love, each other’s support system, and many beautiful memories.”

Kim said that it was her and Xian’s “mutual decision” to transition to a relationship that they hope would be a “lifelong friendship.”

“We thank all our followers for their love and support, but now we ask you to appreciate our honesty and give us the privacy we need as we begin new chapters of our lives. To all our supporters, maraming salamat for all the love and understanding,” she said.

To end her post, she thanked Xian, whom she fondly calls Xi, for the “almost 12 years of beautiful memories.”

She said that Xian will always have a place in her heart. She also thanked him for showing her what love is.

“As we close this chapter, I ask for everyone’s kindness and respect. I hope this clears everything as we all move forward with our lives,” she ended.

Prior to her Instagram post on Saturday, rumors were rife that she and Xian were among the couples headed to splitsville.

Xian recently sparked the interest of the public when some internet users noticed his YouTube channel was devoid of any content that features him and Kim Chiu. Their old videos were no longer seen on his channel.

Xian has not confirmed their breakup on his social media accounts as of this writing.
