MANILA — Host and comedian Vhong Navarro is one proud father after his son Yce has been cast in the ABS-CBN hit action drama “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”

In a Facebook post, Navarro reposted the 10-minute trailer of “Batang Quiapo” to celebrate the show’s first anniversary.

“Yahoo! Thank you, Lord. Nakaka-proud na mapabilang ang anak ko at makasama sa cast ng Batang Quiapo. Good luck Yce Navarro! Aabangan ko to! Maraming salamat, Direk CM,” Navarro wrote, referring to “Batang Quiapo” lead star and director Coco Martin.

Veteran actor Jamie Fabregas and award-winning actor Elijah Canlas were also among the artists announced to be joining the cast of “Batang Quiapo.”

Also joining the primetime series are Malou Crisologo, Ara Davao, Renz Fernandez, and Dan Alvaro.

Now on its second year, “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” airs every Monday to Friday, 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC and TFC.
