IS the future Gilas Pilipinas superstar coming very soon?

That was the first question that probably came to mind when Aerieal Patnongon posted on social media two photos of herself in Bohol over a week ago, one of which, interestingly, saw her revealing a “bump.”

Understandably, the picture combo had netizens wondering whether the girlfriend of reigning four-time PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo is on the family way.

The caption only added to the mystery:

“Get you a girl who can do both HAHAHAHA,” she said in the Facebook post on December 11.

We got in touch with Patnogon, excited as everybody in this basketball-mad country should be over the future offspring of a 6-foot-10 basketball star and a 6-foot-1 volleyball player.

However, the former Ateneo Lady Eagle was quick to deny she was carrying the offspring of the San Miguel gentle giant considered the best Filipino player today.

“Lechon ang laman n’yan,” the statuesque spiker told SPIN.ph of the ‘bump’ in her tongue-in-cheek post.

Patnongon couldn’t help but burst out laughing while recalling the reaction from those who saw her post, including San Miguel Beer coach Leo Austria.

“Dami naloko doon sa picture ko, pati si Coach Leo,” she said with a laugh. “Dami napeke talaga pati fans tapos nakita ko sa Twitter, meron nagse-search Aerieal Patnongon pregnant.”

So there.

On when the future Gilas superstar will be born remains to be seen. But no doubt we’re excited.
