Judy Ann Santos is making a much-anticipated return to the screen with a series of exciting new projects.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Friday, June 7, Judy Ann shared that her new ventures are thoughtfully chosen to balance her roles as a mother and wife.

“Actually, malaking factor rin ang material itself, ‘yun talaga kasi ‘yun ang nagdidikta sa akin kung would this be worth it ba na medyo mas madalas akong wala sa bahay,” Judy Ann explained.

She emphasized that with her children now older and more independent, she can take on more projects, a prospect she eagerly embraces. “Nami-miss ko pa rin umarte bilang ito rin naman ang una kong minahal kaya ako nakapasok sa industriyang ‘to,” she added.

Family remains her top priority, influencing her decisions on which projects to accept. Judy Ann revealed, “Every time rin naman na may mag-o-offer ng proyekto sa akin, nilalatag ko na agad ‘yung realidad ko bilang nanay, bilang asawa, na importante sa akin ang family time.”

One of her exciting upcoming projects is the Philippine adaptation of Call My Agent, retitled Call My Manager, directed by Erik Matti. “Ay napaka-saya ng proyektong ‘yun,” she said, expressing her enthusiasm for the unique script and the enjoyable atmosphere on set.

She highlighted the show’s fresh take on the entertainment industry, offering viewers a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes workings of showbiz.

Additionally, Judy Ann is set to take on a Presidential role in the third installment of the action-drama series The Bagman.

She expressed her gratitude for the production team’s patience, allowing her to fully commit to her role. “Gusto kong binibigay ‘yung buong ako sa isang proyekto,” she shared, appreciating the professionalism and dedication of her co-actors and the entire production team.

Judy Ann also hinted at another potential milestone: participating in the 50th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival with a horror movie directed by Chito S. Roño. “Horrror with direk Chito Roño, hopefully matuloy,” she said.

Reflecting on the significance of the MMFF, she added, “Ang tagal na naming hindi nakakagawa ng pelikula, ang tagal ko na ring hindi nakakagawa ng horror film and my last movie for MMFF was ‘Mindanao’ and that was five years ago.”
