TV writers are still killing off beloved characters…. details in comments (nuna)

It’s Halloween week and Undas is almost upon us, which means we’re another week closer to the end of 2015. But wait, we still get the same old issues. Politicians are still campaigning, people are still being victimized by the laglag bala modus, and TV writers are still killing off beloved characters.

“No hate please? A gown is just a gown.” — Kim Chiu on fans reacting to Maine Mendoza’s gown at the AlDub concert, the same dress that Kim wore on the runway for a fashion show.

Happiness all around!

“I would see him as the last person standing. Why? Siya lang ‘yung walang corruption issue, and I can personally vouch for his integrity. Second, siya lang ‘yung walang disqualification case na hinaharap. Third, siya lang ‘yung walang health issue.” — Former Senator Panfilo Lacson on Mar Roxas.

“We are a very forgiving people as a general rule. But they [the Marcoses] have statements that they have nothing to apologize for. If they said, ‘We erred. We had this opportunity to turn this country greater as our father promised and it did not happen. We apologize. We want to make amends.’ That I think would have been very, very acceptable.” — P-Noy on whether or not the Marcoses should apologize to the Filipinos.

Are we talking about this lifetime or the next? Because we’re thinking this might take a while.

“The moral problem is not corruption, the moral problem is poverty. That is what I want to face, not the fight against all these allegations, but the fight to alleviate the life of every Filipino.” — Vice President Jejomar Binay on poverty and corruption.

He makes this sound so poetic, the part where he’s not facing these allegations of corruption.

Kumpleto po ‘yung component niya as an ammunition. Kaya sabi ng PNP (Philippine National Police), we’re basing our judgement on the ammunition. Let the court, let the fiscal court decide [whether] to let her go or not.” — Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Jose Angel Honrado on the OFW found carrying a bullet in her bag at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Pro-OFW groups said, however, that the OFW in question has been a migrant worker for 20 years and would not make the mistake of bringing ammunition. They suspect that the OFW is another victim of the laglag bala extortion modus.

May isang araw po na gumising na lang ako, hindi na po ako makatayo, ni gapang, ni hatak sa sarili hindi ko magawa.” — Angel Locsin on a spinal disc injury she had while training for the role of Darna.

She may not be Darna but the girl definitely has the dedication of a superhero.

Ito na po siguro ang pinaka tamang panahon para i-announce… Ako ang papalit kay Angel Locsin bilang si Darna, I expect your support po.” — Luis Manzano on who will replace girlfriend Angel Locsin for Darna.

Plus 10 pogi boyfriend points for cheering Angel up during these difficult times.

“As much as I want to, hindi pa [kami]. Hindi pa, hindi pa. Pero sa akin, kahit ngayon, label lang naman yun.” — Enrique Gil on being in a relationship with Liza Soberano.

Keep the faith!

“A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it. I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women.” — Reese Witherspoon on Legally Blonde 3.

Will we see Elle Woods as the first female president or Supreme Court justice?

“It’s not always going to be a happy ending, especially in our world.” — The Walking Dead co-executive producer and zombie special effects creator Greg Nicotero on the latest death that shocked fans.

Some fans are hoping that this specific character is still alive, similar to what happened with Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.
