Matet de Leon Doesn’t Want Talk To Nora Aunor Anymore

MATET DE LEON – Actress Matet de Leon said she will not talk to her mom Nora Aunor again.

Filipina actress and entrepreneur Matet De Leon began her career as a child star. She was adopted by Philippine cinema’s “Superstar” Nora Aunor and her then-partner, actor Christopher de Leon.

Also adopted are her siblings Kenneth, Lotlot, and Kiko. Her brother Ian is the former couple’s only biological child.

After the most recent business dispute, the rift between Nora Aunor and Matet de Leon continues to grow.  When Matet learned that her mother had decided to sell a product that directly competed with her own last December 4, she was unable to hold back her frustration.

She further admitted that despite her company coming first, she had been told to just resell her mother’s products. In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Matet explained to the showbiz reporter that her younger brother Kenneth De Leon had informed her of this.

Matet said that she might have thought about it if they had been upfront and involved her in the decision-making process from the start. She said she felt deceived because they created a rival product behind her back.

The 39-year-old actress made it clear that she accepted Ogie’s invitation only to share her side of the story and that she had no desire to criticize her mother in any way. She did, however, acknowledge that despite her continued love for her mother, she was unable to see a scenario in which they could reconcile.

But Matet still respects her mother and hopes for the best for her.

“Hindi ko na siya kakausapin ulit… Kasi parang sa akin, ginawa ko na ang lahat.”

“Makakaasa pa rin naman siya ng respeto galing sa amin at katahimikan sa mga hindi dapat pag-usapan… Yung health niya pinagdadasal ko gabi-gabi ‘yan. Ayaw nating may mangyaring masama [sa kanya],” she added.
