Kitty Duterte in fighting mode after ex-President Duterte’s arrest
Kitty Duterte updates Duterte supporters on her father’s arrest.
Veronica “Kitty” Duterte served as a bridge for supporters of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte, after his arrest.
Through social media posts, Kitty shares what has been happening to her father since he was arrested at Terminal 3 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Tuesday morning, March 11, 2025, until he was taken to Villamor Airbase, Pasay City, before being flown to The Hague, Netherlands.
Kitty is Duterte’s daughter with his common-law wife Honeylet Avanceña. Since her father’s arrest, Kitty has been trending on social media for her combative nature — such as her swearing and sharp eye-to-eye stare at Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director Maj. Gen. Nicolas Torre III, who led the arrest of the former President.
Torre experienced a taste of cheapness from Kitty on the general’s 55th birthday on March 11.

WHY iCC ARRESTED DUTERTE
The ICC is investigating Duterte for alleged crimes against humanity committed while he was President of the Philippines from June 2016 to June 22, 2022.
EJKs—or ExtraJudicial Killings—are the killings of people allegedly involved in the drug trade.
According to pna.gov.ph on March 30, 2022, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)’s EJK figures are: “6,229 people died in 226,662 anti-drug operations conducted from July 2016 to January 31, 2022.”
According to the CHR (Commission on Human Rights) report of November 2, 2021, it will review “5,655 cases of anti-drug operations where deaths occurred including those being handled by the Administrative Order No. 35 Inter-agency Committee on Extra-Legal Series, Enforced Disappearances, Torture, and Other Grave Violations to Life, Liberty and Security of Persons.”
The ICC was established in 2002 in The Hague, Netherlands, to serve as a court of last resort for the most serious or grave crimes, including genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and aggression.
The ICC intervenes in matters or crimes that national courts cannot or will not prosecute.
