CONNECTING TO HER ROOTS
Catriona is in the United Kingdom for a holiday with her family.
One of their stops was Scotland, a country that is part of the UK.
“In the UK for a very special trip for my papa. [We’re] road-tripping from London through Scotland and back,” posted Catriona recently.
“The cottages are so dreamy,” she added.
Catriona’s father, Ian Gray, is of Scottish descent but spent most of his life growing up in Australia.
The beauty queen wrote, “It’s my first time in Scotland and my dads first time back to his homeland since he immigrated to Australia at the age of 7 back in 1952.”
In another post, Catriona shared a photo of her dad with a fishing village in the background.
“Fraserburgh, my dads birth town – a small fishing village along the coast. Although none of the original houses my dad lived in / was born in remain, we visited the streets themselves: Barrasgate Street and explored the town,” Catriona remarked.
