Dennis Trillo received positive feedback for his performance in ‘On the Job: The Missing‘
Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo was praised by Parasite director Bong Joon-ho and Hollywood actress Cynthia Erivo.
Dennis stars in the movie On the Job: The Missing 8 of filmmaker Erik Matti and he portrayed the role of the hired gunman. The said movie is part of the 78th Venice International Film Festival and it got a five-minute standing ovation from all the people who watched it, based on the article in The Philippine Star.
Dennis shared a short video on his Instagram account and prominent entertainment personalities congratulated him and praised his performance. “You were brilliant. You were amazing,” Grammy-, Emmy- and Tony-winning actress Cynthia Erivo said.
Parasite director Bong Joon-ho commented, “You were so great.” Then, German director Alexander Nanau said that they love the performance of Dennis Trillo and that he “killed it”. It can also be heard that True Detective star Sarah Gadon congratulated the Filipino actor.
Quark Henares, head of Globe Studios was also seen in the video smiling. Personalities who commented with positive words to Dennis were part of the jury of the main competition of the film festival.
The caption of the post of the Kapuso star expressed the surreal experience that he had. “Nananaginip ba ako???” he wrote and tagged the personalities with him with the phrase “Hollywood levelingst!!!”
Dennis Trillo also shared a selfie with the South Korean director. “Labyu tito Bong! Thank you for signing my book.” the Filipino actor wrote in the caption of his post that also showcased the signed copy of Bong’s hardbound “Parasite” book that contained the storyboards of the award-winning film. The director is known to draw the story of the film on storyboards before the actual shooting.
