Lovi Poe, JM De Guzman, Jameson Blake grace ‘Guilty Pleasure’ premiere

The anticipated film Guilty Pleasure had its grand premiere night on October 15, headlined by lead actors Lovi Poe, JM De Guzman, and Jameson Blake, alongside their fellow cast members.

The event drew excitement as the film’s creators and audience alike eagerly awaited the movie’s release.

Before the screening, Lovi Poe shared her emotions with the press, expressing her mixed feelings of nervousness and excitement.

“I’m super nervous but very excited that finally, we can watch what we all worked so hard for,” said Lovi.

Jameson Blake echoed the sentiment, sharing his enthusiasm for seeing their hard work come to life on the big screen.

“We are so excited to see what we’ve created out of all the shooting days. We all had fun and we all worked hard, and we’re just happy to see the outcome,” Jameson remarked.

Meanwhile, JM De Guzman kept it short but heartfelt, exclaiming, “I’m so excited. I want to watch it too.”

During the event, Lovi Poe also reflected on the fun and collaborative atmosphere on set, particularly working alongside JM and Jameson.

“It was so great. I really didn’t have to work really hard because everything I needed was already in front of me. I’m really grateful to my co-actors JM and Jameson,” she shared.

Guilty Pleasure marks a significant milestone for Lovi, as it is her first collaboration with local production giant, Regal Entertainment. Though she owns her own production company, C’est Lovi Productions, she expressed how much she values her longstanding relationship with Regal.

“First of all, I’ve been a Regal baby since I started. Sabi ko nga, they have been very supportive since I started this venture, so it’s like Regal is my family. For me, I’m just grateful that I get to collaborate with them, and this is something I really am looking forward to—creating more stories with them,” Lovi stated.

When asked about balancing her dual roles as both an actress and a producer, Lovi admitted that it was a unique but fulfilling experience.

“It was nice, I mean. What’s good about this is since Regal is there, it didn’t feel like I had to do both when I’m on set. But of course, when I’m done filming, that’s when I really get into the picture and work on things. Kasi when I came in, I really wanted to be present as an actor,” she explained.

As for the future, Lovi teased her fans with promises of more collaborations between C’est Lovi Productions and local production houses like Regal, hinting that Guilty Pleasure is just the beginning of many exciting projects to come.

Guilty Pleasure is set to open in theaters nationwide October 16.

MANILA — Reflecting on his showbiz journey, Juan Karlos expressed his gratitude for his grandmother, who raised him and taught him about life.

He said his grandmother would even engage with fans online and applaud for him whenever he appeared on stage.

“She would push me to do all of these things that she thought would be best for me. My Lola is really that one constant in my life,” JK said.

When it came time to reveal that his show was finally happening, the “Ere” singer said his grandmother was beyond excited.

“She was really happy when she found out and then she started doing her TikTok dance. After that, nanghingi ng maraming tickets kasi marami siyang gustong bigyan. She’s always there, especially online. Siya lagi ang nakikipag-usap sa supporters. Masaya si Lola. Super saya niya,” JK said.

About his upcoming “Juan Karlos LIVE” concert on November 29 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the young OPM hitmaker shared some details, including the guests and setlist.

“It’s really focused more on me being a musician,” he told the media, adding, “It really just revolves at all the songs that I’ve made all throughout those years.”

On creating music, the “Buwan” singer stated, “Being able to listen to music makes me able to write music, being able to watch shows. In order for you to inspire, you also have to be inspired, and I’m lucky in that way.“

During the press conference, the young artist also discussed the importance of surrounding yourself with positive people, turning off the negative noise, and focusing on the lighter side of life.

“We have that choice of redirecting our focus to the positive side. And instead of focusing on the ones who don’t believe in, the ones who don’t love, and the ones who don’t care, focus on the opposite side, right? There’s a whole outside of this, there’s a whole online and public image of persona that is separate from what we do now. It’s the little acts of kindness that you do, that you can do for free,” he said.

Directed by Paolo Valenciano with Karel Honasan as musical director, tickets for “Juan Karlos LIVE” are available at all SM Tickets outlets. The concert is produced by Nathan Studios with the support of Universal Music Group Philippines.
