After seeing the disrespectful and rude accusations, Janella Salvador addressed the issue and this is her statement.

Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador and famous Thai actor Win Metawin appeared in It’s Showtime to promote their upcoming film. However, in the same event, host Kim Chiu requested a “sampol” from her to sing her new single after someone mentioned about her upcoming 10th-year anniversary concert.

However, she declined. She was not feeling well at that moment and quipped, “Medyo paos ako today, kayo na lang. Next time, promise.”

“Ah, pakinggan na lang namin [yung song],” says Kim in a response while Darren Espanto interjected, “Sa susunod, mag-prod ka na lang dito sa Showtime.”

After this segment, Vice Ganda seemingly threw shade at her statement during the next part of the show. The comedian used the same reasoning in a different situation but in the same episode which rendered some of the other hosts silent.

This created a backlash online against the actress and after reading the negative comments, she penned a statement addressing it. She was accused as disrespectful and rude because of her response.

In her statement, she clarified that to appear rude or disrespectful is the last thing she would ever want to do. However, she is grateful for those who know her heart and sending her love and comfort amid the commotion online.

She also expressed in another post that she has “personally apologized for unintentionally offending someone but not for setting a valid boundary”. She’s always assertive and never disrespectful but if people chooses to twist her words and not understand the big difference between these words, “that’s on you” as per her words.

Towards the end of the post, she added, “Don’t you dare try and involve my son. The way most of y’all are boomers too. Embarrassing.”
