The simple Rene, who worked as a construction worker and cigarette vendor, worked with big-name artists and even became Kris Aquino’s loveteam in the film series “Pido Dida”. He also became Joey de Leon’s sidekick in “Starzan”, where Rene’s funny character “Cheeta-eh” emerged.
His showbiz career took off but was soon cut short by an illness. Rene Requiestas passed away in 1993.
