A Clash of Beliefs: Nadine Lustre and Co-Stars Share Diverging Views on the Supernatural (cuon)

Even though Nadine Luster wants to make a horror movie, she doesn't want to see a ghost. Good thing, they said no one felt them while they were shooting the Deleter. But for his co-stars, Jeffrey Hidalgo and McCoy de Leon, they said they would like to see.

Deleter co-stars Jeffrey Hidalgo and McCoy de Leon seem to have a strange trip as they want to open their third eye to see a ghost.

That’s what they humorously presented recently at the grand media conference held for their upcoming movie Deleter , which is participating in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Deleter was the only horror movie entry in this year’s MMFF, which is why the entertainment press asked the cast members of the movie if they felt strange on the set while they were doing it.

According to the lead actress, Nadine Luster, they didn’t have a creepy experience while filming, but their location set was scary.

“Thankfully, we didn’t experience anything, right? But it’s my location , it’s a big … high rise building . It’s really an office building . And then, a lot of the floors [ are ] empty, so our location is also a bit creepy , ” the actress explained.

In addition to that, it is said that they still shoot at night because it is required to be dark on their set.

“Usually, we’re shooting late . Because we start at  2 o’clock onwards because, usually, our scenes are dark since that’s what’s needed in the movie, ” Nadine shared.

” But so far, no one has had any experience with us, with me , personally.”

However, it is said that the guard there noticed something among them who allegedly made someone feel at their location set in the building.

” Because there is, one time, I think this is the third to the last day of our shooting. The guard told the story. He said, on the first floor of our shoot , there was a woman crying in that location , ” the talented actress recalled with a laugh.

” But that’s all he said. We didn’t experience anything. ”

Actor-singer and director Jeffrey Hidalgo also said that he did not feel anything strange during their set because his third eye was closed.

” I am thankful that my third eye is very close. I didn’t feel anything like that. My manager always tells me that the third eye is wide open ,” he shared.

But if he is the one to follow, he also wants it tomorrow.

” That’s all. No first hand [experience]. I hope there is, well, it’s exciting. We could have a story to tell, ” he said with a laugh.

” Just you, ” Nadine immediately commented on what her co-actor expressed.

And like Nadine and Jeffrey, McCoy de Leon also said he saw nothing scary on the set. He said that if he could, he would like to see the ghost, personally.

” As for me, I want to see, eh, ” the actor boldly promised. “I mean, you’re kind. Don’t be bad.”

Nadine teased him, ” Not all [ ghosts ] are nice, McCoy.”

” Oh, don’t stop. I just don’t want it, ” the handsome actor suddenly snapped, making the press people laugh. ” I will [ hopefully ] ask for the [ winning ] lotto number.”

Anyway, the story of Deleter revolves around Nadine’s character, Lyra, an online content moderator who filters the uploaded graphics on the social media platforms held by the company she works for.

Unknown to her co-workers, Lyra has a secret she keeps trying to delete that will later affect her work and personal life.

Aside from Nadine, Jeffrey and McCoy, Louise delos Reyes is also in the movie Deleter which was directed by multi-awarded filmmaker Mikhail Red.

Deleter can be seen starting December 25 in theaters nationwide.
