Here’s what Anne Curtis expressed after watching the film of Vice Ganda.

ABS-CBN actress Anne Curtis has this to say about “And the Breadwinner Is”, the MMFF 2024 film of her “sisterette” Vice Ganda.

“And the Breadwinner Is” is the new movie from Vice Ganda who is returning to the Metro Manila Film Festival big screen this year. This film showcases another side of the superstar comedian who is known and loved for his slapstick comedy.

In a previous article, the top three films of MMFF 2024 that have become trending topics online included this film along with the others such as “The Kingdom” and “Green Bones”.

Moreover, according to the source of Ogie Diaz, Vice’s “And the Breadwinner Is” is leading the list in terms of gross. There’s no confirmation of this yet but spread online are the reviews of people who have already watched this film.

Recently, Anne Curtis fulfilled her promise to have a block screening of the film. She promised her “sisterette” to do this and she stayed true to her words. After watching the film, she was seen with red eyes that had traces of tears. The film got her bawling and she expressed this in a post.

She shared that the film reflected the struggles of a family that continues to rise above their situation to make their lives better. However, despite this, it did not accordingly romanticize the role of being a breadwinner.

It, instead, sheds light on the realness of this role in a family when it comes to struggles and sacrifices one makes just to provide. As per her words, it was “a beautiful film with beautiful storytelling, beautiful cinematography, and amazing acting from everyone”.

She is proud of Vice whose comedic timing remained on point but highlighted the one scene that was done with so much sincerity she felt it and got her bawling out of her eyes.
