Joshua Garcia, Anne Curtis To Work Together for Philippine version of It’s Okay Not To Be Okay

JOSHUA GARCIA – The actor reacted to his upcoming pairing with Kapamilya star Anne Curtis for the Pinoy-adaptation of a Koreanovela series It’s Okay Not To Be Okay.

In the Philippine entertainment industry, one of the stars is Kapamilya actress-host Anne Curtis. She is also one of the mainstay hosts in the ABS-CBN noontime variety show It’s Showtime which is airing episodes for several years now since 2014.

Anne Curtis has worked on several TV series including May Bukas Pa in 2000, Kampañerang Kuba in 2005, Maging Sino Ka Man from 2006 to 2008, Dyosa in 2008, and Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw in 2013 among others.

It’s been 10 years since Anne last did a TV series. Meanwhile, the Kapamilya star is set for a TV series comeback through the Pinoy-adaptation of the Korean novela TV series It’s Okay Not To Be Okay.

Anne Curtis will be working with several fellow stars in the Kapamilya network for It’s Okay Not To Be Okay including actor Joshua Garcia. The actress will play the role of the TV series’ star Seo Ye Ji while the former PBB housemate will play the character of the other star, Kim Soo Hyun.

In the upcoming Pinoy-adaptation of the Korean TV series, Joshua will play the role of Patrick “Patpat’ Gonzales while Anne will play as Emilia “Mia” Hernandez. The actor has mixed emotions towards working with the Showtime host.

Based on an article on Pep, Joshua Garcia admitted that he feels nervous and excited to work with Anne Curtis. He stressed that it is really an honor to working with the star in her TV series comeback after so many years.

“Of course, pagkatapos ng napakatagal na panahon babalik siya sa paggawa ng series, tapos isa ako sa mga makakasama niya. Isang karangalan talaga. Anne Curtis yan, e,” he said.

According to Joshua, he has watched the first episode of the TV series and he is also working out to prepare for the portrayal of his role in the upcoming project. Based on the article, the actor jokingly revealed that when he saw the abs of his character, he just shut down the TV and continued on his exercises.

Meanwhile, Joshua Garcia expressed that their emotional preparation is much more important. He described the story as sensitive and he and Anne Curtis are set to undergo a workship to unveil their chemistry on-screen.
