Heart Evangelista on Being Friends with Marian Rivera: “Real Queens Support Each Other”

After last months’ news of Heart Evangelista and Marian Rivera following each other and commenting on each other’s posts on Instagram, Heart had an especially sweet message to say to her fellow actress.

According to Pep.ph, during the Zalora 11.11 Sale Party at The Lounge in BGC, Heart was asked by Audrey Carampel of GMA Integrated News about her relationship with Marian. “Ako, hindi ako personally nagpapa-interview, kasi I don’t want it to be anything that’s for publicity,” Heart said. “Because something like that should be from your heart.”

“Marian and I, we’ve always liked each other. And it’s a true testament that, you know, we should always be supporting each other. Because real queens support each other.

“And you know, it’s a testament that it’s really the people around us that makes things bad. To begin with, we’ve always been okay. Mahal mo siya. Mahal mo ako. Ibig sabihin, okay kaming dalawa as individuals. And honestly, I really appreciate her for… She has a very strong character. But I really appreciate her kindness and her… just her heart,” Heart said.

The pair last worked together in 2011 for a remake of Temptation Island, which co-starred Rufa Mae Quinto, Lovi Poe, and Solenn Heusaff. Since then, rumors about an alleged feud between the two GMA actresses started swirling. After a little over a decade, the two had their first public interaction on Instagram, and their fans have been loving the reunion.

“[It’s] just nice. I like it. Ayoko na ng kaaway, honestly. And yun nga,” Heart said.

“I guess that’s something to remind us [na yung] away natin sa mga ibang tao na nakakasalamuha natin sa buhay natin, sometimes the person’s not the real enemy. It’s the people around that make it worse. So, I’m happy.”
